Its main purpose is to promote and develop Music in Greece. In order to achieve this purpose it is organizing Musical events with many International artists like (D. Sgouros, L. Kavakos, G. Vakarelis, Fr.-J. Selheim, R. Syracuse, R. Moog, P. Nagy and others). It is also focusing in organizing educational 0seminaries - Master Classes - with spectacular results for various instruments (piano, violin, viola). That way they offer the chance to Greek students to come in contact with top Professors, while minimizing the cost of entrance fee since part of students expenses is funded by Music Society of Macedonia or other cultural institutions and sponsors.

Some of M.S.M. ‘s most memorable events were 'Summer Music Events', 'Music Festival' and 'National Music Seminars-Master Classes' which were organized at 'Porto Carras' of Sithonia Chalkidiki Greece from 1988 till 1991 with participants from all over the world. During the years 1997-1998 it organized despite all the difficulties Master classes of violin and viola with a great success.

During 2003 and 2004 it organized the Festival of Chamber Music for a very big cultural event of the town of Thessaloniki called 'Dimitria' and it also had a great success.

Music Society of Macedonia with total respect for the past is willing to cooperate with everyone that serves the Culture of our country in order to achieve a greatest future. And it’s Managers and members will do everything in their power in order to fulfill this goal.
